Susumu Yokota was a Japanese musician and composer who was known for his experimental electronic music. He released over thirty solo albums throughout his career, which spanned over two decades. Yokota was inspired by a wide range of influences, including ambient, house, techno, and classical music. He was particularly known for his use of field recordings, which he incorporated into his music to create unique sonic textures. Despite his prolific output, Yokota was relatively unknown outside of Japan until his death in 2015. However, his influence on the electronic music scene continues to be celebrated by fans and fellow musicians around the world.
