Rick Deitrick is a fingerstyle acoustic guitarist and composer from Ohio who has been active since the 1970s. He is known for his intricate and delicate guitar work as well as his use of open tunings. Deitrick released several albums and played live shows in the 1970s and 1980s, but flew under the radar for some time before his music was rediscovered by a new generation of listeners. His sound is often compared to that of John Fahey, and he is beloved among fans of American Primitivism and avant-garde acoustic music.
