Vive la Void is a solo project of Sanae Yamada, a musician and keyboardist known for her work with the psychedelic rock band, Moon Duo. Launched in 2018, Vive la Void has been compared to a mix of darkwave, krautrock and dream pop, with ethereal vocals and a hypnotic, electronic sound. The music often explores themes of self-discovery and the subconscious, with rhythms that are both driving and meditative. Yamada's unique blend of vintage synthesizers, drum machines and layered textures draw listeners in with an otherworldly, cinematic quality. Vive la Void's self-titled debut album was released in May of 2018.
