Dominique Lawalrée is a Belgian composer, pianist and music critic, born in 1954. He has released dozens of albums and composed over 500 works, focusing on minimalism and spirituality. Lawalrée has gained a cult following for his introspective and evocative music. He has been influenced by the works of Erik Satie, John Cage and Brian Eno, and his compositions include piano sonatas, chamber music, symphonies, and choral works. Despite his prolific output, Lawalrée remains a relatively obscure figure, yet his work has been described as a hidden gem of the minimalist genre.
