Unwound was an American rock band formed in 1991 in Tumwater, Washington. Known for their influential sound, they combined elements of post-hardcore, punk rock, and noise rock, characterized by complex song structures, intense instrumentation, and introspective lyrics. The band's lineup consisted of Justin Trosper (vocals and guitar), Vern Rumsey (bass and vocals), and Sara Lund (drums). Over their career, they released several critically acclaimed albums, including "Repetition" and "The Future of What," before disbanding in 2002. Unwound is often credited with helping to shape the sound of the 1990s underground music scene and has maintained a dedicated fanbase, even after their breakup.
