Gene Clark was an American singer-songwriter and a founding member of the influential folk rock band The Byrds. Born on November 17, 1944, in Tipton, Missouri, he was known for his distinctive voice and songwriting ability, contributing to many of the band's early hits, including "I'll Feel a Whole Lot Better" and "Eight Miles High." After leaving The Byrds, Clark embarked on a solo career, releasing several albums that showcased his talent for blending folk, rock, and country elements.
