Death of Lovers is a post-punk/darkwave band formed in 2012 by members of the bands Nothing and Whirr. The band is known for their emotive and atmospheric sound, which blends elements of 80s new wave and post-punk with contemporary shoegaze and dream pop. Their lyrics explore themes of love, loss, and the human condition, often drawing inspiration from the works of poets and writers such as Sylvia Plath and Virginia Woolf.
