Patrick Cowley was an American musician and producer, primarily known for his contributions to the genres of disco and electronic music in the 1970s and 1980s. He was a pioneer in the use of synthesizers and is best known for his work with singer Sylvester, as well as his own solo recordings. Cowley died at the age of 32 from complications related to HIV/AIDS.
