The Banteay Ampil Band is a Cambodian musical group formed in the late 1970s during the Khmer Rouge regime. The band was known for their blend of traditional Cambodian music with Western instruments and styles, creating a unique sound that became popular in Cambodia and eventually led them to tour in other countries. Despite facing persecution and imprisonment during the Khmer Rouge regime, the band continued to perform and inspire others, and they remain an important part of Cambodian cultural history.
