Jaw Gems is an electronic/hip-hop group formed in Portland, Maine in 2009. The band consists of keyboardist Hassan Muhammad, drummer DJ Moore, and synthesist Andrew Scherzer. They blend live instrumentation, sampling, and beat-making to create a unique sound that draws on jazz, funk, and world music influences. Jaw Gems has released three full-length albums and several EPs, and has toured extensively throughout North America and Europe.
