Big Black was an influential American noise rock band formed in 1981 by musician Steve Albini. Known for their aggressive sound, abrasive guitar riffs, and provocative lyrics, the band often tackled themes of violence, technology, and social issues. Their music blended elements of punk rock, industrial, and post-hardcore, creating a distinctive style that helped shape the alternative rock landscape of the 1980s. Big Black's most notable albums include "Songs About Fucking" and "Atomizer," which have left a lasting legacy in the underground music scene. The band disbanded in 1987, but Albini went on to have a successful career as a producer and musician, continuing to influence various genres.
